Why US
Widejoint realized the need for companies to reduce cost
without compromising quality and delivery and we believe our experience and
capabilities will help companies to realize this goal so you can focus on your
core competency. We have tons of
experience in making contract manufactured engineered casting and forging parts
in China and we understand the challenges that many companies are facing in
global contract manufacturing like below:
Challenge: Low cost country sourcing compromised quality
Solution: We understand quality must be designed in the sourcing process and we use onsite quality inspector to validate. We follow strict 1st article inspection process, CPK analysis on critical dimensions, process control map, PFMEA as well as other common quality control methods to ensure parts are delivered to meet customer requirements. We work with clients to understand their specific quality needs for the application and we ask a lot of questions to ensure we fully understand the parts before we do it. We represent only those Chinese companies who have been exporting to US market for years with excellent quality reputation for the industry we choose to play to ensure the learning curve has been overcome in the past and the risk is minimized.
Challenge: Low cost country sourcing hurt my inventory turn
Solution: Due to the lead time on the water, offshore sourcing will increase lead time and add more inventories in the pipeline. Our typical approach is to provide enough cost saving for companies to compensate financial impact on lower inventory turn. We can also provide hybrid logistic solutions with combination of ocean and air shipment with some local warehoused inventories to improve inventory turn as needed.
Challenge: We have paid too much air freight cost in the past for low cost country sourcing parts due to fluctuation in demand and ends up with no saving...Why should I consider offshore sourcing again?
Solution: We understand in some circumstances companies are facing fluctuation of demands and we standard approach is to work with customers to understand the situation and design a customer specific inventory solution, which may involve extra buffer stock at customer or supplier side.
Challenge: Offshore vendors are slow in response and they don't understand the requirements or speak the language.
Solution: We have years of experience in working on contract manufacturing projects in China and we provide 24/7 customer service support from US and China.
Challenge: We don't know what types of commodities are good "low cost country sourcing" targets and our volume is not high enough.
Solution: We have extensive commodity and manufacturing process knowledge, which enables us to make good sourcing recommendations to customers on which to go overseas and which to stay local. Our relationship with oversea suppliers and our leveraging power also allow us to buy certain commodities at lower volume.
